Moringa during pregnancy
The State medical institute of the Czech Republic states in its reports that there is documented use of Moringa among European population. At the same time, there has been no study conducted that would monitor the influence of Moringa on children, pregnant and lactating women. This lack of information can be caused by overlooking the potential of Moringa and its health benefits for the human body.
However, foreign studies say that in most cases Moringa is very suitable for pregnant and lactating women and growing children, thanks to its minerals and vegetable proteins. In Philippines and other countries Moringa is used in much higher doses than recommended on European continent. It is due to the fact, that in Europe we have more varied diet. Unfortunately, the content of nutrients in our diet continues to decline. Moringa is therefore a very good supplement that would help us to maintain optimum diet balance.
In many developing countries Moringa is recommended by local and international medical organizations for its positive effect on lactation and healthy development of human organism. Locals often call it “the tree of life”, because for them is often the only real source of nutrients.
During pregnancy, it is important to focus on proper intake of vitamin A. Very high doses are not appropriate for the proper development of the fetus. However, recommended dosage would ensure optimum amount.
